A newly discovered affinity

I have heard about Birchbox for a couple of years now and have hesitated to take the plunge. While it is only $10 a month, I had a hard time justifying the expense.

This summer I took the plunge. First Birchbox, then Ipsy, Sample Society and Memebox. I am enchanted with all of the lovely things I am discovering and am starting this blog to share the finds with others and to chronicle all of my new experiences.

I am a bit of a makeup novice. I can wear powder, mascara, blush and lipstick just fine but I am less than expert at the more exotic arts of eyeshadow, eyeliner and other lotions and potions. I have been a Clinique girl for many years and while I still love them, I think it is time to branch out, learn a few new techniques and try a few new brands and products.
